Overnight at the Coast

Community! Oceanography! And a whole lot of fun! New School headed to the Oregon Coast for 3 days to study marine ecology and build community. Drift Creek Camp provided an amazing location, deep in the woods for team games and group activities. An exploration of estuaries, plankton labs, and the Newport aquarium gave students a rich foundation for this year’s study of ocean habitats. Hikes and beach time gave students time to make new friends and gain an appreciation for the natural beauty of the Oregon Coast. A truly magical way to start the year! 💫
