Dragon’s Den Engineering

Second-semester learning has included a massively popular engineering unit. Students use a process taught by popular Apple and Nasa engineer @markrober to design engineering solutions to common problems. This unit is both collaborative and creative, and challenges students to pitch their finished designs to their classmates in a SharkTank style showdown! This week, guest speaker Kirby Erdeley presented the design process for Orange Screw (@orangescrew), talked about constraints and iteration in prototyping then gave students a Lego challenge that involved executing it without talking. Thank you Mr. Erdeley for an inspiring afternoon! Check out our stories for prototypes of his new product, student videos, and more!
