Rocket Launching
A huge “thank you” to Justin Ulland, Director of Software Engineering at Blue Origin and New School parent, for bringing this year’s physics of flight and soaring study to a close with a bang! New Schoolers learned some basics about orbital mechanics and what it takes for real rockets to get into orbit before talking about the physics of water bottle rockets. Students had a chance to fly their rockets in the wind tunnel and learned about the importance of aerodynamic stability. The real performance tests came on launch day with multiple rockets exceeding 300 feet and the record set at 345! Check out our Reel below for all of the launch fun!
